fix: use last_activity_at for orphan conversation cleanup timeframe (#13859)
## Description The RemoveOrphanConversationsService filters orphan conversations by a time window before deleting them. Previously it used created_at, which could miss old conversations that still had recent activity. Switching to last_activity_at ensures the cleanup window reflects actual conversation activity rather than creation time. ## Type of change Please delete options that are not relevant. - [ ] Bug fix (non-breaking change which fixes an issue) ## How Has This Been Tested? - By running Rake task - Run the job from console ## Checklist: - [ ] My code follows the style guidelines of this project - [ ] I have performed a self-review of my code - [ ] I have commented on my code, particularly in hard-to-understand areas - [ ] I have made corresponding changes to the documentation - [ ] My changes generate no new warnings - [ ] I have added tests that prove my fix is effective or that my feature works - [ ] New and existing unit tests pass locally with my changes - [ ] Any dependent changes have been merged and published in downstream modules |

feat(rollup): add models and write path [1/3] (#13796)
## PR#1: Reporting events rollup — model and write path Reporting queries currently hit the `reporting_events` table directly. This works, but the table grows linearly with event volume, and aggregation queries (counts, averages over date ranges) get progressively slower as accounts age. This PR introduces a pre-aggregated `reporting_events_rollups` table that stores daily per-metric, per-dimension (account/agent/inbox) totals. The write path is intentionally decoupled from the read path — rollup rows are written inline from the event listener via upsert, and a backfill service exists to rebuild historical data from raw events. Nothing reads from this table yet. The write path activates when an account has a `reporting_timezone` set (new account setting). The `reporting_events_rollup` feature flag controls only the future read path, not writes — so rollup data accumulates silently once timezone is configured. A `MetricRegistry` maps raw event names to rollup column semantics in one place, keeping the write and (future) read paths aligned. ### What changed - Migration for `reporting_events_rollups` with a unique composite index for upsert - `ReportingEventsRollup` model - `reporting_timezone` account setting with IANA timezone validation - `MetricRegistry` — single source of truth for event-to-metric mappings - `RollupService` — real-time upsert from event listener - `BackfillService` — rebuilds rollups for a given account + date from raw events - Rake tasks for interactive backfill and timezone setup - `reporting_events_rollup` feature flag (disabled by default) ### How to test 1. Set a `reporting_timezone` on an account (`Account.first.update!(reporting_timezone: 'Asia/Kolkata')`) 2. Resolve a conversation or trigger a first response 3. Check `ReportingEventsRollup.where(account_id: ...)` — rows should appear 4. Run backfill: `bundle exec rake reporting_events_rollup:backfill` and verify historical data populates --------- Co-authored-by: Muhsin Keloth <muhsinkeramam@gmail.com> |

Linear is deprecating long-lived OAuth2 access tokens (valid for 10 years) in favor of short-lived access tokens with refresh tokens. Starting October 1, 2025, all new OAuth2 apps will default to refresh tokens. Linear will no longer issue long-lived access tokens. Please read more details [here](https://linear.app/developers/oauth-2-0-authentication#migrate-to-using-refresh-tokens) We currently use long-lived tokens in our Linear integration (valid for up to 10 years). To remain compatible, this PR ensures compatibility by supporting refresh-token-based auth and migrating existing legacy tokens. fix(signup): normalize account signup config checks (#13745)
This makes account signup enforcement consistent when signup is disabled at the installation level. Email signup and Google signup now stay blocked regardless of whether the config value is stored as a string or a boolean. This effectively covers the config-loader path, where `YAML.safe_load` reads `value: false` from `installation_config.yml` as a native boolean and persists it that way. - Normalized the account signup check so disabled signup is handled consistently across config value types. - Reused the same check across API signup and Google signup entry points. - Added regression coverage for the disabled-signup cases in the existing controller specs. --------- Co-authored-by: Vishnu Narayanan <iamwishnu@gmail.com> |

feat: Add automatic favicon fetching for companies (#13013)
## Summary This Enterprise-only feature automatically fetches a favicon for companies created with a domain, and adds a batch task to backfill missing avatars for existing companies. The flow only targets companies that do not already have an attached avatar, so existing avatars are left untouched. ## Demo https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/d050334e-769f-4e46-b6e7-f7423727a192 ## What changed - Added `Avatar::AvatarFromFaviconJob` to build a Google favicon URL from the company domain and fetch it through `Avatar::AvatarFromUrlJob` - Triggered favicon fetching from `Company` with `after_create_commit` - Added `Companies::FetchAvatarsJob` to batch existing companies that are missing avatars - Added `companies:fetch_missing_avatars` under `enterprise/lib/tasks` - Kept the company-specific implementation inside the Enterprise boundary - Stubbed the new favicon request in unrelated specs that now hit this callback indirectly - Updated a couple of CI-sensitive specs that were failing due to callback side effects / reload-safe exception assertions ## How to verify 1. Create a company in Enterprise with a valid domain and no avatar. 2. Confirm that a favicon-based avatar gets attached shortly after creation. 3. Create another company with a domain and an avatar already attached. 4. Confirm that the existing avatar is not replaced. 5. Run `companies:fetch_missing_avatars`. 6. Confirm that existing companies without avatars get one, while companies that already have avatars remain unchanged. ## Notes - This change does not refresh or overwrite existing company avatars - Favicon fetching only runs for companies with a present domain - The branch includes the latest `develop` --------- Co-authored-by: Muhsin Keloth <muhsinkeramam@gmail.com> Co-authored-by: Sojan Jose <sojan@pepalo.com> |

fix(agent-bot): stabilize webhook delivery for transient upstream failures (#13521)
This fixes the agent-bot webhook delivery path so transient upstream failures follow the expected delivery lifecycle. Existing fallback behavior is preserved, and fallback actions are applied only after delivery attempts are exhausted. To reproduce, configure an agent-bot webhook endpoint to return 429/500 for message events. Before this fix, failure handling could be applied too early; after this fix, delivery attempts complete first and then existing fallback handling runs. Tested with: - bundle exec rspec spec/jobs/agent_bots/webhook_job_spec.rb spec/lib/webhooks/trigger_spec.rb - bundle exec rubocop spec/jobs/agent_bots/webhook_job_spec.rb spec/lib/webhooks/trigger_spec.rb --------- Co-authored-by: Muhsin Keloth <muhsinkeramam@gmail.com> |

## Notion document https://www.notion.so/chatwoot/Email-IMAP-Issue-30aa5f274c928062aa6bddc2e5877a63?showMoveTo=true&saveParent=true ## Description PLAIN IMAP channels (non-OAuth) were silently retrying failed authentication every minute, forever. When credentials are wrong/expired, Net::IMAP::NoResponseError was caught and logged but channel.authorization_error! was never called — so the Redis error counter never incremented, reauthorization_required? was never set, and admins were never notified. OAuth channels already had this handled correctly via the Reauthorizable concern. Additionally, Net::IMAP::ResponseParseError (raised by non-RFC-compliant IMAP servers) was falling through to the StandardError catch-all, flooding Estimated impact before fix: ~70–75 broken IMAP inboxes generating ~700k–750k wasted Sidekiq jobs/week. ## Type of change - [ ] Bug fix (non-breaking change which fixes an issue) ## Checklist: - [ ] My code follows the style guidelines of this project - [ ] I have performed a self-review of my code - [ ] I have commented on my code, particularly in hard-to-understand areas - [ ] I have made corresponding changes to the documentation - [ ] My changes generate no new warnings - [ ] I have added tests that prove my fix is effective or that my feature works - [ ] New and existing unit tests pass locally with my changes - [ ] Any dependent changes have been merged and published in downstream modules |

CSAT templates for WhatsApp are submitted as Utility, but Meta may reclassify them as Marketing based on content, which can significantly increase messaging costs. This PR introduces a Captain-powered CSAT template analyzer for WhatsApp/Twilio WhatsApp that predicts utility fit, explains likely risks, and suggests safer rewrites before submission. The flow is manual (button-triggered), Captain-gated, and applies rewrites only on explicit user action. It also updates UX copy to clearly set expectations: the system submits as Utility, Meta makes the final categorization decision. fix(slack): handle archived channel errors in SendOnSlackJob (#13520)
When a Slack-integrated channel is archived, posting from Chatwoot raises `Slack::Web::Api::Errors::IsArchived` in `SendOnSlackJob`, which retries and can end up in dead jobs. This can be reproduced by archiving the connected Slack channel for a valid hook and creating outgoing messages. This change adds `IsArchived` to the existing handled Slack API rescue path in `Integrations::Slack::SendOnSlackService#send_message`, so archived-channel failures now follow the same flow as related Slack failures (`prompt_reauthorization!` + `disable`) instead of bubbling and retrying repeatedly. I tested this by running `bundle exec rubocop lib/integrations/slack/send_on_slack_service.rb` (with `rbenv` initialized), and it passes with no offenses. feat: Add a setting to keep conversations pending on bot failures (#13512)
Adds an account-level setting `keep_pending_on_bot_failure` to control whether conversations should move from pending to open when agent bot webhooks fail. Some users experience occasional message drops and don't want conversations to automatically reopen due to transient bot failures. This setting gives accounts control over that behavior. This is a temporary setting which will be removed in future once a proper fix for it is done, so it is not added in the UI. |

fix: escape special characters in Linear GraphQL queries (#13490)
Creating a Linear issue from Chatwoot fails with a GraphQL parse error
when the title, description, or search term contains double quotes. For
example, a description like `the sender is "Bot"` produces this broken
query:
```graphql
issueCreate(input: { description: "the sender is "Bot"" })
```
Linear's API rejects this with `Syntax Error: Expected ":", found
String`. This affects issue creation, issue linking, and issue search —
any flow where user-provided text is interpolated into a GraphQL query.
The `graphql_value` helper was only escaping newlines (`\n`) but not
quotes, backslashes, or other characters that are meaningful inside a
GraphQL string literal. On top of that, `issue_link` and `search_issue`
bypassed `graphql_value` entirely, using raw string interpolation
instead.
The fix replaces the manual `gsub` escaping with Ruby's `to_json`, which
produces a properly escaped, double-quoted string that handles all
special characters. This is a minimal, well-understood substitution —
`to_json` on a Ruby string returns a valid JSON string literal, which is
also a valid GraphQL string literal since GraphQL uses the same escaping
rules. The `issue_link` mutation and `search_issue` query are updated to
route their parameters through `graphql_value` instead of raw
interpolation.
The `team_entities_query` and `linked_issues` methods in `queries.rb`
also use raw interpolation, but their inputs are system-generated IDs
and URLs rather than user-provided text, so they're left as-is to keep
this change focused.

chore: Upgrade Rails to 7.2.2 and update Gemfile dependencies (#11037)
Upgrade rails to 7.2.2 so that we can proceed with the rails 8 upgrade afterwards # Changelog - `.circleci/config.yml` — align CI DB setup with GitHub Actions (`db:create` + `db:schema:load`) to avoid trigger-dependent prep steps. - `.rubocop.yml` — add `rubocop-rspec_rails` and disable new cops that don't match existing spec style. - `AGENTS.md` — document that specs should run without `.env` (rename temporarily when present). - `Gemfile` — upgrade to Rails 7.2, switch Azure storage gem, pin `commonmarker`, bump `sidekiq-cron`, add `rubocop-rspec_rails`, and relax some gem pins. - `Gemfile.lock` — dependency lockfile updates from the Rails 7.2 and gem changes. - `app/controllers/api/v1/accounts/integrations/linear_controller.rb` — stringify params before passing to the Linear service to keep key types stable. - `app/controllers/super_admin/instance_statuses_controller.rb` — use `MigrationContext` API for migration status in Rails 7.2. - `app/models/installation_config.rb` — add commentary on YAML serialization and future JSONB migration (no behavior change). - `app/models/integrations/hook.rb` — ensure hook type is set on create only and guard against missing app. - `app/models/user.rb` — update enum syntax for Rails 7.2 deprecation, serialize OTP backup codes with JSON, and use Ruby `alias`. - `app/services/crm/leadsquared/setup_service.rb` — stringify hook settings keys before merge to keep JSON shape consistent. - `app/services/macros/execution_service.rb` — remove macro-specific assignee activity workaround; rely on standard assignment handlers. - `config/application.rb` — load Rails 7.2 defaults. - `config/storage.yml` — update Azure Active Storage service name to `AzureBlob`. - `db/migrate/20230515051424_update_article_image_keys.rb` — use credentials `secret_key_base` with fallback to legacy secrets. - `docker/Dockerfile` — add `yaml-dev` and `pkgconf` packages for native extensions (Ruby 3.4 / psych). - `lib/seeders/reports/message_creator.rb` — add parentheses for clarity in range calculation. - `package.json` — pin Vite version and bump `vite-plugin-ruby`. - `pnpm-lock.yaml` — lockfile changes from JS dependency updates. - `spec/builders/v2/report_builder_spec.rb` — disable transactional fixtures; truncate tables per example via Rails `truncate_tables` so after_commit callbacks run with clean isolation; keep builder spec metadata minimal. - `spec/builders/v2/reports/label_summary_builder_spec.rb` — disable transactional fixtures + truncate tables via Rails `truncate_tables`; revert to real `resolved!`/`open!`/`resolved!` flow for multiple resolution events; align date range to `Time.zone` to avoid offset gaps; keep builder spec metadata minimal. - `spec/controllers/api/v1/accounts/macros_controller_spec.rb` — assert `assignee_id` instead of activity message to avoid transaction-timing flakes. - `spec/services/telegram/incoming_message_service_spec.rb` — reference the contact tied to the created conversation instead of `Contact.all.first` to avoid order-dependent failures when other specs leave data behind. - `spec/mailers/administrator_notifications/shared/smtp_config_shared.rb` — use `with_modified_env` instead of stubbing mailer internals. - `spec/services/account/sign_up_email_validation_service_spec.rb` — compare error `class.name` for parallel/reload-safe assertions. |

feat: add per-account daily rate limit for outbound emails (#13411)
Introduce a daily cap on non-channel outbound emails to prevent abuse. Fixes https://linear.app/chatwoot/issue/CW-6418/ses-incident-jan-28 ## Type of change - [x] New feature (non-breaking change which adds functionality) - [x] Breaking change (fix or feature that would cause existing functionality not to work as expected) ## Summary - Adds a Redis-based daily counter to rate limit outbound emails per account, preventing email abuse - Covers continuity emails (WebWidget/API), conversation transcripts, and agent notifications - Email channel replies are excluded (paid feature, not abusable) - Adds account suspension check in `ConversationReplyMailer` to block already-queued emails for suspended accounts ## Limit Resolution Hierarchy 1. Per-account override (`account.limits['emails']`) — SuperAdmin configurable 2. Enterprise plan-based (`ACCOUNT_EMAILS_PLAN_LIMITS` InstallationConfig) 3. Global default (`ACCOUNT_EMAILS_LIMIT` InstallationConfig, default: 100) 4. Fallback (`ChatwootApp.max_limit` — effectively unlimited) ## Enforcement Points | Path | Where | Behavior | |------|-------|----------| | WebWidget/API continuity | `SendEmailNotificationService#should_send_email_notification?` | Silently skipped | | Widget transcript | `Widget::ConversationsController#transcript` | Returns 429 | | API transcript | `ConversationsController#transcript` | Returns 429 | | Agent notifications | `Notification::EmailNotificationService#perform` | Silently skipped | | Email channel replies | Not rate limited | Paid feature | | Suspended accounts | `ConversationReplyMailer` | Blocked at mailer level | |

fix: Rendering of translations based on the user's locale (#13211)
Previously, translations were generated and resolved purely based on the account locale. This caused issues in multi-team, multi-region setups where agents often work in different languages than the account default. For example, an account might be set to English, while an agent prefers Spanish. In this setup: - Translations were always created using the account locale. - Agents could not view content in their preferred language. - This did not scale well for global teams. There was also an issue with locale resolution during rendering, where the system would incorrectly default to the account locale even when a more appropriate locale should have been used. With this update, During rendering, the system first attempts to use the agent’s locale. If a translation for that locale does not exist, it falls back to the account locale. **How to test:** - Set agent locale to a specific language (e.g., zh_CN) and account language to en. - Translate a message. - Verify translated content displays correctly for the agent's selected locale - Do the same for another locale for agent. - With multiple translations on a message (e.g., zh_CN, es, ml), verify the UI shows the one matching agent's locale - Change agent locale and verify the displayed translation updates accordingly |

feat: Advanced Search Backend (#12917)
## Description
Implements comprehensive search functionality with advanced filtering
capabilities for Chatwoot (Linear: CW-5956).
This PR adds:
1. **Time-based filtering** for contacts and conversations (SQL-based
search)
2. **Advanced message search** with multiple filters
(OpenSearch/Elasticsearch-based)
- **`from` filter**: Filter messages by sender (format: `contact:42` or
`agent:5`)
- **`inbox_id` filter**: Filter messages by specific inbox
- **Time range filters**: Filter messages using `since` and `until`
parameters (Unix timestamps in seconds)
- **90-day limit enforcement**: Automatically limits searches to the
last 90 days to prevent performance issues
The implementation extends the existing `Enterprise::SearchService`
module for advanced features and adds time filtering to the base
`SearchService` for SQL-based searches.
## API Documentation
### Base URL
All search endpoints follow this pattern:
```
## Technical Implementation
### SQL-Based Search (Contacts, Conversations, Articles)
- Uses PostgreSQL `ILIKE` queries by default
- Optional GIN index support via `search_with_gin` feature flag for
better performance
- Time filtering uses `last_activity_at` for contacts/conversations
- Returns paginated results (15 per page)
### Advanced Search (Messages)
- Powered by OpenSearch/Elasticsearch via Searchkick gem
- Requires `OPENSEARCH_URL` environment variable
- Requires `advanced_search` account feature flag
- Enforces 90-day lookback limit via
`Limits::MESSAGE_SEARCH_TIME_RANGE_LIMIT_DAYS`
- Validates inbox access permissions before filtering
- Returns paginated results (15 per page)
---
## Type of change
- [x] New feature (non-breaking change which adds functionality)
- [x] Enhancement (improves existing functionality)
---
## How Has This Been Tested?
### Unit Tests
- **Contact Search Tests**: 3 new test cases for time filtering
(`since`, `until`, combined)
- **Conversation Search Tests**: 3 new test cases for time filtering
- **Message Search Tests**: 10+ test cases covering:
- Individual filters (`from`, `inbox_id`, time range)
- Combined filters
- Permission validation for inbox access
- Feature flag checks
- 90-day limit enforcement
- Error handling for exceeded time limits
### Test Commands
```bash
# Run all search controller tests
bundle exec rspec spec/controllers/api/v1/accounts/search_controller_spec.rb
# Run search service tests (includes enterprise specs)
bundle exec rspec spec/services/search_service_spec.rb
```
### Manual Testing Setup
A rake task is provided to create 50,000 test messages across multiple
inboxes:
```bash
# 1. Create test data
bundle exec rake search:setup_test_data
# 2. Start OpenSearch
mise elasticsearch-start
# 3. Reindex messages
rails runner "Message.search_index.import Message.all"
# 4. Enable feature flag
rails runner "Account.first.enable_features('advanced_search')"
# 5. Test via API or Rails console
```
- Example: `export OPENSEARCH_URL=http://localhost:9200`
- **Feature Flags**:
- `advanced_search`: Account-level flag for message advanced search
- `search_with_gin` (optional): Account-level flag for GIN-based SQL
search
### Performance Considerations
- 90-day limit prevents expensive long-range queries on large datasets
- GIN indexes recommended for high-volume search on SQL-based resources
- OpenSearch/Elasticsearch provides faster full-text search for messages
### Breaking Changes
- None. All new parameters are optional and backward compatible.
### Frontend Integration
- Frontend PR tracking advanced search UI will consume these endpoints
- Time range pickers should convert JavaScript `Date` to Unix timestamps
(seconds)
- Date conversion: `Math.floor(date.getTime() / 1000)`
### Error Handling
- Invalid `from` parameter format is silently ignored (filter not
applied)
- Time range exceeding 90 days returns `422` with error message
- Missing `q` parameter returns `422` (existing behavior)
- Unauthorized inbox access is filtered out (no error, just excluded
from results)
feat: TikTok channel (#12741)
fixes: #11834 This pull request introduces TikTok channel integration, enabling users to connect and manage TikTok business accounts similarly to other supported social channels. The changes span backend API endpoints, authentication helpers, webhook handling, configuration, and frontend components to support TikTok as a first-class channel. **Key Notes** * This integration is only compatible with TikTok Business Accounts * Special permissions are required to access the TikTok [Business Messaging API](https://business-api.tiktok.com/portal/docs?id=1832183871604753). * The Business Messaging API is region-restricted and is currently unavailable to users in the EU. * Only TEXT, IMAGE, and POST_SHARE messages are currently supported due to limitations in the TikTok Business Messaging API * A message will be successfully sent only if it contains text alone or one image attachment. Messages with multiple attachments or those combining text and attachments will fail and receive a descriptive error status. * Messages sent directly from the TikTok App will be synced into the system * Initiating a new conversation from the system is not permitted due to limitations from the TikTok Business Messaging API. **Backend: TikTok Channel Integration** * Added `Api::V1::Accounts::Tiktok::AuthorizationsController` to handle TikTok OAuth authorization initiation, returning the TikTok authorization URL. * Implemented `Tiktok::CallbacksController` to handle TikTok OAuth callback, process authorization results, create or update channel/inbox, and handle errors or denied scopes. * Added `Webhooks::TiktokController` to receive and verify TikTok webhook events, including signature verification and event dispatching. * Created `Tiktok::IntegrationHelper` module for JWT-based token generation and verification for secure TikTok OAuth state management. **Configuration and Feature Flags** * Added TikTok app credentials (`TIKTOK_APP_ID`, `TIKTOK_APP_SECRET`) to allowed configs and app config, and registered TikTok as a feature in the super admin features YAML. fix: Prevent SLA deletion timeouts by moving to async job (#12944)
This PR fixes the HTTP 500 timeout errors occurring when deleting SLA
policies that have large volumes of historical data.
The fix moves the deletion workflow to asynchronous background
processing using the existing `DeleteObjectJob`.
By offloading heavy cascaded deletions (applied SLAs, SLA events,
conversation nullifications) from the request cycle, the API can now
return immediately while the cleanup continues in the background
avoiding the `Rack::Timeout::RequestTimeoutException`. This ensures that
SLA policies can be deleted reliably, regardless of data size.
### Problem
Deleting an SLA policy via `DELETE
/api/v1/accounts/{account_id}/sla_policies/{id}` fails consistently with
`Rack::Timeout::RequestTimeoutException (15s)` for policies with large
amounts of related data.
Because the current implementation performs all dependent deletions
**synchronously**, Rails processes:
- `has_many :applied_slas, dependent: :destroy` (thousands)
- Each `AppliedSla#destroy` → triggers destruction of many `SlaEvent`
records
- `has_many :conversations, dependent: :nullify` (thousands)
This processing far exceeds the Rack timeout window and consistently
triggers HTTP 500 errors for users.
### Solution
This PR applies the same pattern used successfully in Inbox deletion.
**Move deletion to async background jobs**
- Uses `DeleteObjectJob` for centralized, reliable cleanup.
- Allows the DELETE API call to respond immediately.
**Chunk large datasets**
- Records are processed in **batches of 5,000** to reduce DB load and
avoid job timeouts.
feat: Standardize rich editor across all channels (#12600)
# Pull Request Template ## Description This PR includes, 1. **Channel-specific formatting and menu options** for the rich reply editor. 2. **Removal of the plain reply editor** and full **standardization** on the rich reply editor across all channels. 3. **Fix for multiple canned responses insertion:** * **Before:** The plain editor only allowed inserting canned responses at the beginning of a message, making it impossible to combine multiple canned responses in a single reply. This caused inconsistent behavior across the app. * **Solution:** Replaced the plain reply editor with the rich (ProseMirror) editor to ensure a unified experience. Agents can now insert multiple canned responses at any cursor position. 4. **Floating editor menu** for the reply box to improve accessibility and overall user experience. 5. **New Strikethrough formatting option** added to the editor menu. --- **Editor repo PR**: https://github.com/chatwoot/prosemirror-schema/pull/36 Fixes https://github.com/chatwoot/chatwoot/issues/12517, [CW-5924](https://linear.app/chatwoot/issue/CW-5924/standardize-the-editor), [CW-5679](https://linear.app/chatwoot/issue/CW-5679/allow-inserting-multiple-canned-responses-in-a-single-message) ## Type of change - [x] Bug fix (non-breaking change which fixes an issue) ## How Has This Been Tested? ### Screenshot **Dark** <img width="850" height="345" alt="image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/47748e6c-380f-44a3-9e3b-c27e0c830bd0" /> **Light** <img width="850" height="345" alt="image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/6746cf32-bf63-4280-a5bd-bbd42c3cbe84" /> ## Checklist: - [x] My code follows the style guidelines of this project - [x] I have performed a self-review of my code - [x] I have commented on my code, particularly in hard-to-understand areas - [ ] I have made corresponding changes to the documentation - [x] My changes generate no new warnings - [x] I have added tests that prove my fix is effective or that my feature works - [x] New and existing unit tests pass locally with my changes - [ ] Any dependent changes have been merged and published in downstream modules --------- Co-authored-by: Muhsin Keloth <muhsinkeramam@gmail.com> Co-authored-by: Pranav <pranav@chatwoot.com> Co-authored-by: Vinay Keerthi <11478411+stonecharioteer@users.noreply.github.com> |
We’ve been watching Sidekiq workers climb from ~600 MB at boot to 1.4–1.5 GB after an hour whenever attachment-heavy jobs run. This PR is an experiment to curb that growth by streaming attachments instead of loading the whole blob into Ruby: reply-mailer inline attachments, Telegram uploads, and audio transcriptions now read/write in chunks. If this keeps RSS stable in production we’ll keep it; otherwise we’ll roll it back and keep digging |
> [!NOTE]
> Adds a new service-based auto-assignment system with scheduled jobs,
rate limiting, enterprise capacity/balanced selection, and wiring via
inbox/handler; includes Redis helpers and comprehensive tests.
>
> - **Auto-assignment v2 (core services)**:
> - Add `AutoAssignment::AssignmentService` with bulk assignment,
configurable conversation priority, RR selection, and per-agent rate
limiting via `AutoAssignment::RateLimiter`.
> - Add `AutoAssignment::RoundRobinSelector` for agent selection.
> - **Jobs & scheduling**:
> - Add `AutoAssignment::AssignmentJob` (per-inbox bulk assign;
env-based limit) and `AutoAssignment::PeriodicAssignmentJob` (batch over
accounts/inboxes).
> - Schedule periodic run in `config/schedule.yml`
(`periodic_assignment_job`).
> - **Model/concerns wiring**:
> - Include `InboxAgentAvailability` in `Inbox`; add
`Inbox#auto_assignment_v2_enabled?`.
> - Update `AutoAssignmentHandler` to trigger v2 job when
`auto_assignment_v2_enabled?`, else fallback to legacy.
> - **Enterprise extensions**:
> - Add `Enterprise::InboxAgentAvailability` (capacity-aware filtering)
and `Enterprise::Concerns::Inbox` association `inbox_capacity_limits`.
> - Extend service via `Enterprise::AutoAssignment::AssignmentService`
(policy-driven config, capacity filtering, exclusion rules) and add
selectors/services: `BalancedSelector`, `CapacityService`.
