We introduced this a couple of commits ago (in #7782) for use in the
tests only. Putting it here avoids pulling in a new dependency in
production which we don't use there.
This uses the to-markdown.js library to do all the hard work of
parsing HTML and turning it into markdown and not e.g. uploaded files.
Tweaked by tabbott to better scope when it activates to just include
pastes of HTML content.
Fixes#5853.
This change prepares us to have the server send avatar_url
of None when somebody wants a gravatar avatar (as opposed
to a user-uploaded one).
Subsequent commits will change behavior on both the server
and client to have this happen. So this commit has no-op
code for now, but it will soon use the fallback-to-gravatar
logic.
This reverts commit a01eb190d6.
We haven't debugged why yet, but this was causing 2 major problems:
* Misalignment in the floating recipient bar area.
* Missing scrollbar in the right sidebar.
This commit does the following things:
* Instead of using a manual tool for downloading sprite sheets, use
`emoji-datasource` npm package.
* Modify the `build_emoji` script to use sprite sheets from the npm
package.
Bumps PROVISION_VERSION.

- Remove `perfect-scrollbar` from `static/third` and fetch it from npm.
- Upgrade `perfect-scrollbar` to 0.7.1.
- Bump up the `PROVISION_VERSION` to 5.6.
Changed `wheelSpeed` in "static/js/scroll_bar.js" to 0.5, because when it
20, the scrollbar scrolls very fast.
Changed 'wheelSpeed' in "static/js/emoji_picker.js" from 25 to 0.68
(based on tabbott's testing of scrolling through the emoji list).

We were at 1.12.1. Versions 1.12 and 2.2 have the same API, and
2.x basically removes some compatibility for old browser versions.
2.2.3 was the last bug release for 2.2, and it was released in
April 2016.
- Remove `handlebars.runtime.js` from static/third and fetch it from npm
- Upgrade `handlebars` to 3.0.3.

"Lines containing only block statements and whitespace are now removed."
Fixes part of #1709.
Apparently, the updated version of this has a serious scrolling
performance problem in the left sidebar that basically makes scrolling
in that area unusable.
This reverts commit b683b2d3c3.
- Remove `jquery-mousewheel` from `static/third` and fetch it from npm.
- Upgrade `jquery-mousewheel` to 3.1.6.
- Bump up the `PROVISION_VERSION` to 4.5.
- Change some js code to comply with this `jquery-mousewheel` version.

Apparently, SockJS 1.1.1 is broken with the browser used in our legacy
desktop app, resulting in messages being silently not sent.
- Replace download-zxcvbn with downloading it from npm.
- Change zxcvbn.js path to node_modules (because npm put it to
`node_modules` directory.
- Bump `PROVISION_VERSION` in `version.py` to 2.4.
